Family first. Everything else follows.
Before the companies, the partnerships and the miles between continents, there is family. For Dwayne Corbitt it is the first priority, and it shapes how he approaches everything else: relationships built on trust, integrity and a long-term view.
Building Across Industries
From the beginning of his career, Dwayne Corbitt has shown an uncommon ability to recognize emerging markets and build relationships across cultures. Long before globalization became common in American business, he was establishing partnerships abroad and creating pathways between international manufacturers and U.S. markets.
At twenty-seven, he became one of the youngest executives, and the first African American, to negotiate a manufacturing partnership with officials of the Chinese government, building a latex facility in Guilin that grew into one of the largest producers and distributors of latex products serving the United States government.
Since then he has founded, owned, invested in and successfully exited multiple businesses, from Water Bottlers, Inc. and television production to thermal energy storage at GES Industries and next-generation power at Volarix Global.
Rather than staying in a single sector, he has consistently sought opportunities where innovation and strategic relationships create long-term value.
